There are a few things that define a great rock band. Amazing songs, an interesting story, an ironic name and great socks. I knew that the first three were true, and was happy to find out that Portgual. The Man did in fact have great socks too. Portugal. The Man makes music that sounds like the epitome of summer music festivals, breezy, inspired and just, cool.

The boys were in LA for a pretty epic musical adventure with the UCLA Philharmonia, and have a very busy spring and summer ahead of them. They just finished a US tour, have a gaggle of festivals up their sleeve and a new music video for All Your Light (Times Like These).

All Your Light (Times Like These) is off the bands current album, In The Mountain In The Cloud. I got to sit down with the band and try to seem cool and unaffected that I was interviewing one of the coolest bands of my generation.

It totally did not work.
