River City Extension is a big band. Eight people deep to be exact. I almost felt bad trying to squeeze the group into our tiny TheInsider.com studio, but they did it. And they rocked it too, as we received our first ever noise complaint. It was a proud day for me.

If RCE has yet to ping your radar, take notice of this indie/folk operation that, at its heart, is a rock band. With an eclectic assortment of instruments, RCE uses dynamics to their advantage, letting each instrument stand out, while collectively creating a huge sound.

They just dropped their new full-length Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Your Anger earlier this month on XOXO records.
