August 20, 2012
She may only be happy when it rains, but Shirley Manson ain’t no stupid girl. And if you love Shirley Manson as much as I do (trust me you don’t) you should check out her band Garbage’s latest music video, Big Bright World, off their new album, Not Your Kind of People.
Garbage posted the video on their website, along with a note to fans: "Our official music video for Big Bright World, directed by the amazing Julie Orser and featuring some of our wonderful fans in the under water scenes."
Garbage, which is comprised of lead singer Shirley Manson, Duke Erikson (bass, guitar, keyboards, percussion), Steve Marker (guitar, keyboards) and Butch Vig (drums, percussion), was formed in 1994. In 1995, they released their debut album, Garbage, which sold over 4 million copies and was certified double platinum in the UK, US and Australia. In 1997, Garbage put out their sophomore album, Version 2.0, which topped the charts in the US and UK and was nominated for two Grammy Awards, Album of the Year and Best Rock Album.
Now check out their latest musical offering and see why Shirley is clearly the coolest girl around.
