Jon Hamm is gaining a few more cool points with his latest project. Exchanging his Don Draper duds for a thin mustache and track jacket, the Mad Men star takes on what might be his most complex role yet.

Okay, try to keep up. So, indie darling Aimee Mann made a video in 1985 called Tis' Tuesday, and in her new video for Labrador, she sets out to spoof herself ... sorta. Hamm takes on the role of Tom Scharpling, who is the actual director of the video, and sits down for a faux behind-the-scenes interview. "What I suggested was we do a shot-for-shot remake of the Til' Tuesday video for Voices Carry. [Amy] flips for it," Hamm, 41, as Scharpling explains.

"I really didn't want to do this video," Mann, 52, rebuts. "I thought it was a stupid idea and the director seemed so incompetent that I thought I was being pranked."

The "collambrotive" video also stars Superchunk drummer Jon Wurster, who plays the actor Denny Rock, and musician Ted Leo.

Did they pull off this shot-for-shot video? Check out a young Mann in the 'Tis Tuesday video below, and let us know.
