Alanis Morissette paid tribute to Green Day on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night, when the punk band canceled their appearance due to lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, 40, seeking help for substance abuse.
The rehab stint comes directly after a perceived meltdown by the popular frontman at the iHeart Radio concert in Las Vegas on September 22, when he went on a profanity-laced tirade when the band's set was reportedly cut short to give more time to Usher and Rihanna.

Alanis, who recently released her eight album Havoc and Bright Lights in August, took to the stage to sing their breakout single Basket Case, turning the song into a slow ballad Alanis style.
"We love you Billie Joe," she smiled at the end of her performance.
