Now that the confetti has settled and the tour has wrapped, the reigning American Idol champ Phillip Phillips is ready to release his debut album.

Since winning the singing competition, Phillips' debut single and coronation song Home hit #1 on the iTunes Pop Charts and was featured in NBC's Olympics coverage and the trailer for Clint Eastwood's Trouble With The Curve. Needless to say, fans are eager for more music from Phillip.

Fans won't have to wait much longer when the album, The World From The Side of The Moon drops Nov. 19.

A gifted songwriter, Phillips wrote or co-wrote most of the songs but explains people will be most surprised by the artistic choices made on the album. One thing is certain: expect rich, raspy vocals paired with masterful guitar skills.
