'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' sails into theaters May 20, 2011 in 3D, and on the first day of filming, Johnny Depp made a memorable entrance that even he found impressive!
Director Rob Marshall chose the remote Honopu Beach in Kauai, Hawaii, to film the first scene of the movie. Inaccessible by any road, the cast and crew had to arrive by boat and wave runners -- and Johnny arrived in full Jack Sparrow regalia by helicopter.
"That's an entrance, eh?" he says to the camera.
In the fourth outing of the billion-dollar franchise from uber-producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Jack Sparrow teams up with Blackbeard's daughter (Penelope Cruz) in search of the Fountain of Youth. In addition to battling zombies and navigating waters filled with treacherous mermaids, Jack must once again face the nefarious Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) as well as "the pirate all pirates fear," Blackbeard (Ian McShane) himself.

Eleven years ago, the film 'American Psycho' premiered on this day and was touted by critics as the next 'Fight Club.'
Christian Bale, Willem Dafoe, Kirsten Dunst and Chloë Sevigny starred in the psycho thriller, which was adapted from Bret Easton Ellis' book of the same title, about the life of a Manhattan businessman by day and serial killer by night.
The film informally had Johnny Depp to star originally then went through the likes of Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Leonardo DiCaprio, who were all involved in the rumored casting carousel until Bale was ultimately chosen. In the movie which essentially launched Bale's career, nearly all of the lines in the film, including voice-overs, were taken verbatim from the book.
Check out the video to see the stars come out for the film's premiere!
Jenn Sterger, the woman at the center of the Brett Favre scandal, had her life turned upside down when text messages and inappropriate photos that Brett Favre allegedly sent her in 2008 were leaked to the internet in August 2010. In an exclusive interview with Good Morning America, Sterger spoke out on how her life was turned upside down.
"I didn’t want anything to do with it in 2008 and I didn’t want anything to do with it in 2010 and I still don’t want anything to do with it now. I have to give this interview now for me, for my family. It has nothing to do with Brett Favre. I just want people to know me and to know I am not a gold digger and I am not a home wrecker."
Sterger and Favre were both employed by The New York Jets in 2008 when the alleged texts and photos took place. Jenn claims that when approached by someone on the staff about Brett contacting her, she made it clear that it was not something she was interested in and that her job was her first priority.
How Favre did get her number still remains unclear and when he began communicating with her, she staved him off and claims that she consistently told him she was busy.
"He was like the guy at the bar that couldn’t get the hint."
Jenn admits that when she confided in people about her contact with the NFL quarterback she was told to leave it alone and not complain if she wanted to keep her job.
One of the people she confided in, a blogger at Deadspin.com, ended up publishing the photos and voicemails though she claims that she never gave them to the blog and maintains that she hasn’t made a dime off of anything.
"I didn’t want it to get out. I had dealt with it and it was over and the story comes out and it’s like somebody punched you in the stomach. When everyone knows and it’s out there in the public like that there is this perception of you. And I’m none of those things. I never met the man."
Sterger’s exclusive interview with Good Morning America continues tomorrow morning on ABC.
April 12, 2011 (Los Angeles, CA) -- ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT's Nancy O'Dell sat down with First Lady Michelle Obama and Second Lady Dr. Jill Biden at the White House for a rare new sit-down interview to air tonight, April 12th and tomorrow, April 13th.
President Barack Obama recently announced his plan to run for re-election in 2012, and the women say they're ready to hit the campaign trail. Michelle tells Nancy, "Barack and Joe have done a phenomenal job and we're gonna be out there making sure people know their records. So, we're ready to go when the time comes."
Michelle points out, "There have been only 44 presidents in this United States and it's an honor to be able to serve and we will take up the call again. We'll work very hard on behalf of this country."
The women are working hard to encourage support for military families and personally invited ET inside the White House to unveil their military initiative.. Michelle tells ET, "On the course of the campaign trail I got to meet so many phenomenal women, because a lot of these spouses are women, telling the stories of how of they're juggling everything that all of us are juggling, but their doing it on their fourth and fifth deployment; trying to raise kids in a healthy way."
"These women's stories took my breath away and I vowed then on the campaign trail, if I had the honor of serving as first lady, I would try to be their voice," Michelle says.
Dr. Biden knows firsthand what it's like to have a loved one deployed overseas: "My son is [in the] Delaware Army National Guard so we've been a military family for 10 years."
Of raising awareness about the plight of military families, Dr. Biden says, "I knew that this was one issue that I wanted to work on."
Michelle says that everyone has an opportunity to help a military family: "It can be something as small as knowing who the military families are in your community and reaching out and mowing a lawn," or something like offering to take over a carpool or "baking a cake, saying thank you, acknowledging their presence."
"The Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco baring all! "Blue Bloods" star Bridget Moynahan strips down! Find out why these primetime stars and more are taking off their clothes...
Plus Derek and Julianne Hough, Maksim and more -- we have the "Dancing with the Stars" pro dancers' backstory -- next "Insider"!
It's the talk of town - the naughty little shoe that just might cost Kirstie Alley the Mirror Ball trophy. Insider Correspondent Christina McLarty was right there in the midst of all the action, and she got the real play by play from the stars and their parters.
"It was an act of the dance gods," says Kirstie of the errant shoe, to which partner Maks agreed, calling it payback because "you were mean to me."
Kym Johnson was astonished for "something to happen another week" - referencing last week's infamous tumble at the outset of their rumba. "She's such a pro- she just stuck her foot back in her shoe and picked back up"
Karina Smirnoff explained that losing a shoe is a pretty common occurrence for dancers. She too has found herself in Kirstie's predicament, and she places the blame on the shoe's complicated straps. "The worst part about losing the shoe is you still have that strap around your ankle so you can't just put the foot back in."
Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas say they "didn't even notice".
Surprisingly, the two landed a score of 22, garnering two 7's from Carrie and Len, and an 8 from Bruno. This places the Kirstie and Maks in the bottom three with stars Kendra Wilkinson and Sugar Ray Leonard.

"The Insider"'s Nicole Dabeau was on the scene at the 'Scream 4' premiere in Hollywood on Monday night, getting some surprising details on David Arquette and Courteney Cox's relationship.
"I love her with all my heart but people change and you sort of take times at your life where you have to evaluate if this is working for both of you," said David. "What we are doing is treating each other with respect and kindness."
David spilled that he and Courteney still co-run their Coquette production company and are developing a TV game show.
When we relayed David's comments to Courteney she seemed open to the possibility of the estranged couple getting back together, saying, "I don't know what's going to happen, but I love him so much."
On whether fans can look forward to a 'Scream 5,' Courteney said, "If ['Scream 4'] does well, I'm sure they'll make one."
'Scream 4' slashes its way into theaters April 15.

Kirstie Alley's dance on Monday's "Dancing with the Stars" led judge Carrie Ann Inaba to crown her the "queen of the unexpected mishap."
While Kirstie and pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced their ethereal waltz, Kirstie went a little too far into the fairytale world as she lost her shoe. But unlike Cinderella at the ball, Kirstie managed to lace her footwear back up and continue the dance without missing a step.
This blunder comes after the dancing partners took a tumble during last week's rumba.
Catch "Dancing with the Stars" Monday and Tuesday nights on ABC.
Prince William and Kate Middleton just made their final public appearance at the Darwen Aldridge Community Academy before taking their vows on April 29. It is rumored that the newlyweds will be spending at least part of their honeymoon at Balmoral Castle, a royal residence in Scotland.
Balmoral Castle was also where Prince Charles and Princess Diana spent part of their honeymoon. It was first home to Queen Victoria and is summer home to Queen Elizabeth. The Royal family has a deep history throughout Scotland, including recently where Prince William met Kate, at the 600-year-old University of St. Andrews.
The city of Edinburgh also has a number of Royal residences. Edinburgh Castle, which dominates the skyline, was a royal residence until 1603 when England and Scotland united under a single monarchy, and remains Scotland's most visited tourist attraction. On the opposite end of Edinburgh lies Holyrood Palace, built in the 15th century, which is the Queen's official residence in Scotland.
The Royal yacht, 'Britannia,' which was launched in 1953 and served the Royal family for more than 40 years until its retirement in 1997 is also docked in Edinburgh and remains a popular tourist attraction. At over 400ft in length and weighing over 4,700 tons, it has hosted four royal honeymoons and 968 total royal voyages.
Check out ET's tour of Scotland with their Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl and for more tourist information go to www.VisitBritain.com.
Simon Cowell hasn't received his invite to the royal wedding yet -- did it get lost in the mail?
The "X-Factor" judge and executive producer tells "The Insider" in an interview from London, "Well I'm literally going to get into a boat, into that river, go up to Buckingham Palace and ask where my invitation was, because it must have gotten lost in the [mail]."
But in all seriousness, the Brit says, "I think this is exactly the right time. We need something like this at the moment. It's been a bit gloomy the last couple of years, so this is going to lift everybody. Everyone's excited."
Prince William will wed Kate Middleton on April 29 at Westminster Abbey in London.
Kirstie Alley is a definite contender on "Dancing with the Stars," and we're time warping back to 1986, when a svelte Kirstie starred opposite Mark Harmon for her first major comedic role in 'Summer School.'
"This was a big opportunity for me, because my characters that I play are usually fairly serious and kind of psychotic -- I wonder why?" she said with a laugh, adding of her own high school experience, "That was probably the most painful period of my life. … I was such a goon through high school. ... It was terrible."
Before she was starring opposite Harmon, whom she called "the world's sexiest man," Kirstie raised eyebrows with her feature-film debut as the sexy half-Vulcan, half-Romulan Lt. Saavik in 'Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.' Her signature TV role as Rebecca Howe on "Cheers" would come along in 1987.
