Kyra & Her Emotional Farewell [Video]

After seven years, Kyra Sedgwick is walking away from TNT's hit drama "The Closer," but her departure won't be easy.

"I think I'm going to cry during the entire last episode," Kyra said. "I think I'll be sad to say goodbye to [my character] Brenda Leigh. I love her righteous indignation and I love that she can actually do something about it."

Kyra plays a deputy chief from the South who takes over the Priority Homicide Division of the LAPD with her unconventional style. Her character's way of thinking may have leaked over into her real life with this decision to depart from the show while ratings are still strong.

"I've always wanted to leave on top," said Kyra. "I always think that that's a really important thing to do."
