The talons are out when the designers go head-to-head in this week's episode of Project Runway. For this challenge, exotic birds are the inspiration for the $20,000 L'Oreal challenge. The designers are put in teams of two, with one exotic bird as inspiration per pair, but are soon informed that instead of being teamed up with another designer, they are instead teamed up against them in a head-to-head challenge. Kimberly went against Viktor with a cockatoo inspiration. Joshua M. duked it out against Bert with the colorful parrot as their muse. Laura rumbled with Anya and had the raven as their inspiration. Calvin Klein designer Francisco Costa serves as guest judge for the challenge. The designers stretched themselves to the high-fashion limit, but in true Proj Run fashion, are thrown a curve ball when Tim Gunn tells the Bryant Park hopefuls they must create a second high-fashion look, inspired by their bird.
