Live-Blogging The 2011 Emmys Red Carpet

Two of my favorite things in life are award shows and television -- so you can only imagine how much I adore The Emmy Awards! Oh, and throw in the ability to be snarky about fashion and I'm pretty much the happiest kid you'll ever meet!

That's why I'm so excited to be live-blogging the 2011 Emmys for you on TheInsider.com! First up is the red carpet, beginning in 3 .... 2.... 1!

4: 59 pm: OK! That's it from the red carpet -- now time to snark on the telecast! Click here for that!

4: 54 pm: Brown was a big color on the red carpet tonight, but Kristen Wiig's Zac Posen gown is the only one to get it right

4: 53 pm: Heather Morris looks like she was styled by Edward Scissorhands

4: 50 pm: Jim Parsons has to pee. In case you were wondering. Thanks Seacrest.

4: 48 pm: Kate Winslet is now leading my Best Dressed poll thanks to her Elie Saab gown.

4: 44 pm: Crush of celebs: Jon Hamm, Archie Panjabi, Claire Danes & Kate Winslet. All gorgeous.

4: 40 pm: Dianna Agron says "I'm a very bad girl" before adding, "at the beginning of Glee season three" and ruining some uncomfortable fantasies.

4: 35 pm: Chris Noth was just unfortunately caught by the E! cameras aggressively staring into the distance, and looked very much like this!

4: 32 pm: Sofia Vergara says of her Colombian jewels, "everything is huge in Colombia." Yea, we know -- we can see you.

4: 30 pm: Will Arnett takes over for Seacrest and interviews wife, Amy Poehler. Unfortunately Ryan comes back.

4: 27 pm: Gwyneth Paltrow, breezing through the crowd in a midriff baring gown. I repeat, Gwyneth is wearing a midriff baring gown.

4: 23 pm: Naya Rivera is wearing a simple black gown. MUCH better than last year, although her hair is still a little too Quinceanera for my tastes.

4: 16 pm: Zooey Deschanel in non-Pepto pink is a breath of fresh air!

4: 10 pm: Lea Michele has no been posing on the red carpet for more than an hour. I think they got the shot, gurl.

4: 08 pm: Melissa McCarthy takes best comment of the night (so far): "I own all of my uncomfortable undergarments, because no one wants those back after an #Emmys held in the sun"

4: 03 pm: Joel McHale, in an ill-fitting blue/white tux jacket says he's singing during the show as part of The Emmingtons, with LL Cool J. I hate this idea more than I hate his outfit.

4:01 pm: SNL head writer Seth Myers earns his keep with this one: "I look good, but not as good as the worst dressed woman."

3: 58 pm: Aubrey Plaza looks amazing in white! Am I sensing a trend?

3: 56 pm: Padma Lakshmi in bronze Armani Prive. Why is Mr. Armani so intent on making gorgeous women look fugly? See: Julianna Margulies.

3: 49 pm: Christina Hendricks (in Johanna Johnson) hopes that fashion writers say, "Wow, Christina Hendricks has never looked better! This is her best dress ever!" And while I adore the dress, she still hasn't topped that green gown from 2008!

3: 48 pm: Julianna Margulies says she chose her Armani Prive dress the night before. Clearly she's unable to make good last minute decisions.

3: 45 pm: Kathy Griffin wins me over (not that she had to) by dissing Seacrest. "You still banging the dancer? How'd you get that? You're dating Julianne Hough?!? What kind of smoke and mirrors game are you playing? Do you stand on your money and say, "here I come?"

3: 43 pm: Who'd have thunk that out of all three Charlie's Angels, the most famous would be the worst dressed...who died, Minka?

3: 38 pm: Love him, but I'm sooo over Darren Criss and his lens-free hipster glasses.

3: 34 pm: Kelly Osbourne reveals that Marchesa would only dress one person this year, and that was Lea Michele. Interesting choice for the label.

3: 29 pm: Ryan reunites with Paula Abdul -- which is kind of awkward as he refuses to utter the words "X Factor" and continues to slam Simon Cowell. Jealous much, munchkin?

3: 25 pm: Jane Lynch reveals that she'll be in four different David Meister dresses throughout the evening. "I'm feeling pretty well, I slept pretty well last night. I had a cookie and went to bed." Of tonight's show, she says, "It's a little different this year. We're not reinventing the wheel, but we have a few musical numbers and the presenters have been coming up with their own patter. The show will have a life of its own."

3: 17 pm: Sarah Hyland (in one-of-a-kind Christian Siriano) arrives moments after Lea Michele -- her red carpet nemesis. This could get awkward. At least, I hope it does.

3:13 pm: Lea Michele also in red (am I sensing a theme?) Marchesa. Honestly, can't with these bangs still. Anyone got a scissor? Oh, look, there's Jane Lynch.

3: 12 pm: Cat Deely towering over Seacrest (although, who doesn't?) in glittering Monique Lhullier -- love that she never uses a stylist. Describes her fashion vibe as, "completely eclectic."

3:05 pm: Nina Dobrev slaying (no Vampire pun intended) in ravishing red Donna Karan. No shock there! Guiliana also makes it awkward by pushing Nina to talk about her "secret" relationship with Ian Somerhalder. No shock there, either.

3:02 pm - Chris Colfer is the first up, doesn't think he'll win Best Supporting Actor, Comedy ... I'm less convinced.

3:00 pm: The Emmy pre-show kicks off! Ryan Seacrest is holding his microphone like a little girl sipping a Capri Sun...

2:48 pm: Watching E! News and adoring Kelly Osbourne's J. Mendel dress! As for Giuliana Rancic, well ... I can't quite tell the difference between her orange dress and burnt orange skin.
