Demi Lovato's been down a tumultuous road over the past year. With the release of her new album, Unbroken, the pop star's remarkable comeback takes another positive turn as she participated in her first live stage performance in Los Angeles.
The Insider's Kevin Frazier caught up with Demi during her concert at the Nokia Theater over the weekend where she seemed to have a refreshed outlook on life and her album title resonates with that sentiment.
"Unbroken represents the journey that I've been on and it represents how I've transitioned from being in a place that was dark to a place where I'm upbeat and happy," Demi said. "I'm unbroken now. I've been through a lot but I'm still standing strong."
After a bout with bipolar and eating disorders, the Skyscraper singer shows that the strength she showed while overcoming her struggles has lead her to taking on a newfound role model responsibility, one that wasn't so appealing to the Disney star before.
