Is a Susan Boyle Musical Coming to America?

Susan Boyle captured our hearts with her amazing voice on Britain's Got Talent only a couple of years ago, and now the UK singing sensation is bringing her story to the stage and possibly here in America!

According to Deadline, Boyle's musical biography, I Dreamed A Dream, is set to make its rounds in the UK in March 2012 and its producer Michael Harrison has already begun talks to bring the show across the pond.

"Obviously there is a huge potential for the show in America," Harrison said. That is very much part of the plan."

I Dreamed A Dream tells the story of Boyle's Scottish upbringing and her subsequent rise to stardom after performing her rendition of the Les Miserables song of the same namesake on Britain's Got Talent. The British tour starts in Newcastle and will make its way around the provinces. English actress Elaine C Smith will play Boyle in the UK, with the U.S. version needing an American counterpart to move things forward.
