International superstar Lady Gaga, famous for her candid, honest and unfettered performances, gets even more personal in a new photo book, which comes out next week. Today, Gaga read the forward to the book titled Lady Gaga x Terry Richardson.

Reclined on a sofa and speaking in a soft tone fit for a bedtime story, Gaga cracks open the thick hardcover and narrates the first pages.

"Sometimes it seems as though I've waited my entire life to be photographed by Terry Richardson," Gaga read. "With Terry, the relationship extends beyond the photograph, and if you're lucky he will teach you something truly profound about yourself."

Terry provided the pictures for the book, which follows Gaga in all aspects of her life over an almost year-long period.
