The judges of "American Idol" hold the duty of constructively critiquing the performances of the show's contestants, pointing out errors to be avoided in the future. But on Wednesday night, one of the contestants made it impossible for the judges to carry out that task.

Jacob Lusk astonished viewers with his rendition of "You're All I Need to Get By," causing Steven Tyler to dub him "Baby Luther [Vandross]."

"You were like a true professional, dude," Randy Jackson said. "You know what was wrong with that performance, guys? Absolutely nothing."

"You made us beg for those notes," gushed Jennifer Lopez. "We were like, 'Give it to us Jacob! Give it to us Jacob! You know what it is? You move me. You move us."

"American Idol" airs Wednesday and Thursday nights on FOX.

Jenni "JWoww" Farley has shown romantic interest in her friend Roger Matthews, who her friends think is a good match for her, and on her last night in Miami, Roger confronted the guidette about their feelings for each other in this exclusive "Jersey Shore" clip.

"So what happens now?" Roger asked JWoww on the show's season finale. "You go back to Long Island. I stay here. What happens?"

Elizabeth Taylor's life and work affected those across several generations. From "Dancing with the Stars" cast member Romeo, 21, to Courteney Cox, 46, "The Insider" captured Hollywood's sentiments regarding the passing of one of cinemas most illustrious luminaries.

"There's not going to be another actress like Elizabeth Taylor," Donny Osmond said of the actress who died on Wednesday.

In a career that spanned over 60 years, Taylor won two Academy Awards in the Best Actress category for her roles in 'BUtterfield 8' and 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf.'

"There are not a lot of actresses that made that transition from child to adult," Marie Osmond added about the legendary performer who was under contract with Universal by the time she was nine.

"She's such an iconic figure," said David Arquette. "I just feel grateful that we got to witness her career and I'm sure she's at peace."

"She was so graceful and sweet and such a wonderful woman," said Courteney Cox. "She gave back to the world so much."

In addition to her acting career, Taylor was also known for her humanitarian efforts, creating the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, raising millions for research in an effort to find a cure.

"She really fought for what she believed in," said Romeo. "We definitely lost a very independent woman, someone who wasn't afraid to be themselves. We need more women like that."

"You can't get bigger than [Elizabeth Taylor]," said David Caruso. "That's a living legend and probably why they invented the movie camera."

Although Taylor is no longer present to hear all the kind words being spoken of her, Jose Eber (Taylor's hairdresser and close friend) said that celebrities and fans have been showing their appreciation for Taylor all along.

"She always knew how much she was loved," said Eber. "We didn't have to tell her. She knows that everybody loved her."

Anne Hathaway has been a princess, an assistant at Vogue, and an Oscar host. But, there is one job that eludes her. She told "The Insider"'s Kevin Frazier she's got her eye on the prize in Washington, D.C. While in Rio de Janeiro this week to promote her new animated flick 'Rio,' Anne didn't cross paths with the First Family, which was also in South America for Sasha and Malia Obama's spring break trip.

"I did not catch up with President Obama on this trip. We actually have never met, but I remain hopeful," Anne said with a twinkle in her eye. Following up with a prior statement, Kevin asked the actress if she still wanted to babysit the girls. "The offer still stands. They haven't called, what can I say?" she replied.

The 'Rio' stars were thrilled to share the premiere with the host nation. Jesse Eisenberg said, "When you do a movie that's kind of site specific like this one, you hope to celebrate it with the city."

The Insider was there as David Arquette and Courteney Cox reunited briefly during the junket for their upcoming film 'Scream 4.'

The two joked, shared a hug and even held hands before exchanging interview seats while discussing Wes Craven's fourth installment in the hugely popular 'Scream' horror/comedy franchise.

David gives an update on his relationship with Courteney following their announced split in October 2010. "We're separated, we're working on ourselves and our relationship, and sort of figuring out what we want. You know, life's complicated and people go through changes. And I've been reading a lot of things about myself, reading books that talk about feelings and changes, and she's been working on herself a lot too. The great thing is that we really love each other and that we're really amazing parents together, very supportive -- I'm her biggest fan and she's my biggest fan. You know, that's what it's all about really."

Courteney said she had no problems working with David despite their relationship issues: "It was very easy, we really respect each other and we help each other. I mean, I respect his opinion so much that I'm always asking him 'What do you think.' I think it's very easy, it's very, very easy to work with him."

For his part, David says being on the set with Courteney makes him a better actor. "I really love acting with Courteney. I always have fun. It's always, you know, we're really loose and it's easy to feel real, like they're real moments. That's my favorite part about acting, when you connect with something where it feels like, you know, you can actually believe it inside."

'Scream 4' -- which hits theaters April 15 -- comes 15 years after the original began scaring and amusing audiences with a terrifying phone call. Craven reunites original stars David, Courteney and Neve Campbell for 'Scream 4.' Also appearing in the film are Hayden Panettiere, Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, Adam Brody, Kristen Bell, Anna Paquin and Shenae Grimes.

Lindsay Lohan has rejected a plea deal in her jewelry theft case that would have ended the case early but sent her to jail. 

Los Angeles District Attorney's spokeswoman Jane Robison tells ET that Lohan informed the court she would not be appearing in court on Friday.

Her decision means Lohan's case will now be heard by a new judge who will convene a hearing in April to determine if there is enough evidence for the actress to stand trial. Lohan is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, CA jewelry store in January but the actress has pleaded not guilty and denied any wrongdoing.

In a statement to the Associated Press shortly after the plea deal was rejected, Lohan's lawyer Shawn Holley said: "Ms. Lohan has maintained her innocence from the moment this case was filed and she has never wavered. Though many advised her to follow the safe route by taking 'the deal,' the truth is, Ms. Lohan is innocent; she has a strong defense; and we are confident that a jury will listen to the evidence fairly and acquit her."

Brown was spotted in New York at the 4th Street Courts while Elisabeth Hasselbeck and "Housewives" star Bethenny Frankel were snapped across town at "Good Morning America."

The relationship between icons Dame Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Jackson was undeniably a loving one. Here's a look back at the two on a number of red carpets, smiling and embracing one another as only close friends can do.

Taylor passed away early Wednesday morning, while it will be two years in June that Jackson died. Upon hearing about Jackson's passing in 2009, the actress tweeted that she was "too devastated" to speak about the King of Pop's death.

She later gave a statement about her dear friend that read in part: "My heart ... my mind ... are broken. I loved Michael with all my soul and I can't imagine life without him. We had so much in common and we had such loving fun together. ... I still can't believe it. I don't want to believe it. It can't be so. He will live in my heart forever but it's not enough. My life feels so empty. I don't think anyone knew how much we loved each other. The purest most giving love I've ever known. Oh God! I'm going to miss him. I can't yet imagine life without him. But I guess with God's help ... I'll learn. I keep looking at the photo he gave me of himself, which says, 'To my true love Elizabeth, I love you forever.' And, I will love HIM forever."

Taylor passed away at 79. Jackson was 50.

In a 2007 interview with ET's Mary Hart, a 75-year-old Dame Elizabeth Taylor shared a smile about some of the headline-making moments of her life, some reconciliations, and reflected on her legacy.

"I just hope people keep on doing the things I started and continue with them, and that my family are always happy and they're fulfilled," she said.

Taylor talked about Rome in the early '60s and the headline-making scandal in which the pope publicly denounced her following the news that she and 'Cleopatra' co-star Richard Burton were having an affair – while she was still married to Eddie Fisher (and he was married too).

"Did it bother you at that time?" asked Mary.

"Of course it did," replied Taylor. "I went in the corner and cried."

Taylor then explained that she and former best friend Debbie Reynolds had reconciled years after she ran off with Debbie's husband, Eddie.

"It was just natural that Debbie and I become friends again," she said. "And I did something quite irrational the other day. I called Eddie up."

How long had it been? "Forty years or something," she said with a laugh. "It was fun. … So I can say that I talked to all my exes once."

Taylor passed away early Wednesday in Los Angeles. She was 79.

Chris Brown reportedly displayed agitation after an interview with Robin Roberts on "Good Morning America" March 22, and today the morning show explained what really happened and extended an invitation to the pop star to come back on the show.

"GMA" reports that following Brown's show appearance, he stormed offstage to his dressing room. Moments later Brown was seen coming back down the hall with his shirt off to approach the person who produced his segment, supposedly upset about having to field questions concerning his relationship with ex-girlfriend Rihanna. "GMA" says that their hair and makeup people grew concerned after hearing loud noises and contacted security.

"Chris Brown had agreed to talk about his past," "GMA" reported Wednesday morning.

In Dec. 2009, Roberts conducted one of the first interviews with Brown following the performer's felony assault of Rihanna, so she felt comfortable doing Tuesday's interview with Brown, having established some rapport with the singer.

"I was shocked like everyone else," said Roberts, who apparently holds no grudge against Brown for his outburst, saying, "We would love to have him back."

"GMA" airs weekdays on ABC.

Hit rewind and take a ride back to this day in history 24 years ago -- March 23, 1987 -- when Whitney Houston was rocking a blonde afro and getting ready to debut her second album.

Whitney stepped out for the inaugural Soul Train Music Awards, and commented on the then-upcoming debut of a little album called Whitney (which would break Billboard records, go multi-platinum and earn three Grammy nominations), "It should be completely right, you know, and that's what it's all about, making sure it's the best that it can be."
