'Project Runway' Recap: The Final Countdown:

Anya Young-Chee

October 21, 2011

Heidi Klum: "I don't think the bathing suit is particularly flattering on her. I feel like she is falling out. And then this kaftan … this particular color is very drab, and very sad. The [gold] gown is something that looks to me like you've done in a day."

Michael Kors: "[The gold gown] looks tortured. And it's satin so it shows everything. … The styling is not helping at all."

Nina Garcia: "I love this first dress you did. It's a hybrid between the last black dress you did and your Caribbean roots."

Meg Swertlow: In the vein of oh-so-disappointing Project Runway season three fan favorite Michael Knight, Anya's showing was an ultimate fail. I liked her short striped dress, but other than that I thought Anya's offerings were terrible. That ill-fitting bathing suit!? That terrible gold dress?! If it had been a normal competition that poorly made gold dress alone should have sent Anya packing. Although I do like Anya's point of view, it seems that when she went home she let the competition overwhelm her and lost all the momentum she had gained during her time on the reality competition show. I'll be interested in seeing if she can turn things around for the big show.
