'Mad Men' Ending Revealed
Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner is a secretive sort (he was raised in The Sopranos school of shhhhhhhh), so color me surprised that in a recent interview he not only revealed that he'd decided how the show would end, but broke it down for the reporter!
"I do know how the whole show ends," he told Grantland.com (via). "It came to me in the middle of last season. I always felt like it would be the experience of human life. And human life has a destination. It doesn't mean Don's gonna die. What I'm looking for, and how I hope to end the show, is like ... It's 2011. Don Draper would be 84 right now. I want to leave the show in a place where you have an idea of what it meant and how it's related to you."
Hmmm, given Don's drinking, smoking, carousing and general lack of healthy living I kinda doubt he's gonna make it to 84-years-old. Hell, sometimes I can't believe he's still standing.
Mad Men returns to AMC in 2012.
