Astro Cops an Attitude on 'X Factor'
November 17, 2011
Viewer votes put Stacy Francis and Astro on The X Factor's chopping block on Thursday and 15-year-old Astro made his disdain known.
After a half-hearted performance, which could have been his last, Astro stood defiantly with arms crossed as the judges gave their results.
While none of the judges seemed pleased with Astro's attitude, in the end, they deemed him as a better fit for the competition and sent Stacy, 42, home.
The judges' votes were even until they got down to Simon Cowell, who reluctantly saved Astro from elimination.
"I don't like your attitude right now," said Simon. "Just do me a favor -- stop folding your arms, look at me and think about your mom watching this show."
Astro interrupted Simon to explain his demeanor.
"No disrespect to you or this show," said Astro, wiping tears from his cheeks. "But I just feel like if you're going to put me in the bottom two, I don't want to perform for people who don't want me here."
Stacy gave an emotional farewell speech to the judges, saying, "This journey has been really great and honestly I can't believe I'm going home, but somebody has to go home."
