'Vampire Diaries' -- Watch, Play, Win!
Although Vampire Diaries is off the air until January 5, The CW has created CWingo -- a brand new online game that lets you watch old episodes in a new way.
Launching tonight, during a rebroadcast of The Hybrid -- and continuing once fresh episodes begin in 2012 -- you can log on to CWTV.com and play CWingo (basically a virtual game of bingo) with your Facebook friends and new online foes during east and west coast airings!
An on-screen prompt will let you know to keep those eyes peeled for crucial moments, quotes or objects that have been randomly chosen and assigned to your board. When it does, select the corresponding tile on your iPad or computer screen and a checkmark appears. Get five in a row, and CWingo! Click here for a visual demonstration!
Along with a few select members of the press, I got to play a demo version of CWingo last night and let me tell you, it becomes quickly addictive as you try and beat your friends to the proverbial punch!
And Vampire Diaries won't be alone -- an upcoming episode of 90210 will get CWingo'd, while 2012 will integrate nearly every show on The CW's roster into this game!
As an extra-special incentive to get you to try out CWingo, I'll be giving away two Vampire Diaries prize packages! Anyone who successfully completes a game board will be eligible! All you have to do is take a screengrab of your winning badge and Tweet it to either @JarettSays or @TheInsider with #CWingo and #TVD hashtags alongside the picture!
