Tom Hardy, Before Bane
Right before Tom Hardy broke out with 2010's Inception, he starred in The Take. A take-no-prisoners, uber-violent British miniseries and starting tonight, Tom's hypnotic performance as Freddie -- a freshly paroled but by no means rehabilitated felon -- will air in America for the first time as Encore dedicates the next four Friday nights to this bloody brilliant miniseries.
Co-starring with Tom is esteemed British actor Brian Cox (The Bourne Supremacy, X2, Super Troopers) as a legendary criminal godfather who manipulates Freddie's fate leading him to leave a trail of bloodshed throughout London's East End over the course of ten years.
TheInsider.com got a sneak peek at two clips from the series, which quickly show you why parental discretion is advised!
Part one of The Take premieres tonight at 9 p.m. while the subsequent parts debut Friday nights at 9 p.m. through December 23.
