MTV has announced to ET that the hit series Punk'd will come back to the network in 2012.

The show will be co-produced by Ashton Kutcher, who hosted the show from its inception in 2003 to 2007. The host of the revived show has yet to be announced but will probably not be Kutcher, who currently stars in Two and a Half Men.

MTV will show footage from the new Punk'd season during its live New Year's Eve party at 11:00 p.m. ET.
