Pretty Tricky 'Little Liars'

After the jaw-dropping winter premiere of Pretty Little Liars, I think changing the title to Sneaky Little Liars should be taken into consideration.

The girls are basically at war with each other when the episode -- Through Many Dangers, Toils and Snares -- begins and the viewers are wondering what the heck has happened in the past month! The liars are throwing punches during community service while Garrett (played by Yani Gellman) sits in his cop car, staring and grinning like a creep.

Well, don't worry, he gets an earfull from Spencer Hastings (played by Troian Bellisario) shortly after. However, Spencer isn't the only one stepping up and letting her voice be heard. Emily Fields (played by Shay Mitchell) has turned into a complete bad-A and I love it. "A" pinpointed her as the weakest link and now she wants some payback.

Before I try to tackle the task of describing the end of this episode in words that do it justice, let's talk about the couples.

Well, Hanna (played by Ashley Benson) and Caleb (played by Tyler Blackburn) are just adorable, but I think Lucas (played by Brendan Robinson) is a bit jealous. I'm hoping he's just being protective of Hanna and that he doesn't have a black hoodie hanging in his closet next to his bunk beds!

Spencer and Toby (played by Keegan Allen) are on the outs and it's definitely not her choice to "keep Toby safe." Toby even makes Spencer a gift that she refuses to accept. I know she's trying to keep him safe, but she's breaking his heart AND mine! And where do I even begin with Aria (played by Lucy Hale) and Ezra (played by Ian Harding)?!? Finally, someone on this show has a little courage and tells the truth -- but look where it gets them! Ezra has a busted lip courtesy of Aria's little brother, Mike, and Aria has been banished to her room. Maybe Alison was right - Maybe they're all better off with a really good lie.

During this episode, the liars had everyone fooled. They've turned the tables and taken things into their own hands. Their fighting, ignoring one another, smack talking - all fake. The girls have put on a show and even "A" believed them.

At the end of the episode, the liars have a plan to trap "A" -- but the clever texter in all black gets away again. However, Hanna gets a little payback by hitting A with a car, causing the mastermind to drop his/her cellphone! The PLL's now have the golden ticket and "A" ends the episode by breaking a car window after realizing the hoodie doesn't come with very good pockets and his/her phone is missing.

"New year. New lies. New rules. I'm baaaaack." -A. The clever A text sent out to dedicated viewers of the show proved correct.

Spencer, Emily, Hanna and Aria are lying to take control and establishing some rules of their own. A, you might be back, but the girls are one step ahead of you now. Tune in to ABCFamily next Monday at 8 p.m. to see what secrets we find in A's cell phone.
