Jersey Shore's Vinny Guadagnino announced on Thursday night's show that he will be leaving the show due to his anxiety disorder.
Earlier this month, Vinny hinted about the incident when the Jersey Shore cast visited The Insider's newsroom.
"The filming schedule is pretty tough and this is the first time we ever did two seasons back-to-back," he admitted. "So, I had some personal problems that I dealt with that pan out in the first couple episodes that you have to wait and see."
"There's always that stress that's on you, you know, from the cameras," friend and co-star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino added. "There's always that stress that you never can get away from."
Vinny has disclosed a lifelong struggle with anxiety disorder and is now dedicated to raising awareness about the affliction.
It's estimated that 15 to 25 percent of the population is affected by some form of an anxiety disorder, according to MTV.
"It's really important to let people know that there's no stigma in this," a Manhattan psychiatrist told MTV. "There are millions of people suffering from this, and it's treatable."
