As a mother, wife and published author, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards already has her hands full with life outside of the hit Bravo series. With season three fast approaching, Kyle reveals she may or may not be up for a third go with the Housewives franchise.
In a candid interview with The Insider's Brooke Anderson, Kyle details the highs and lows of life behind the reality TV cameras, a process which became especially rough when the lens was turned on sister Kim's struggle with sobriety.
"We went through a very hard time," explains Kyle. "Some days I'm like, 'there is no way. I can never do this again'. "
While she admits it's difficult to relive the past, Richards says her decision to return for season three often fluctuates and "depends on the day you ask." More often than not, the better days outshine the bad, and she says it's difficult to imagine a life without her Housewives cast.
"It's very difficult doing a reality show but also there's a lot of fun to it. I really do care about all of these women very much even though we have our moments at times but I really do love and care about all of them and we have a lot of fun together sometimes."
Although Kyle says she rarely looks back in shame at her recorded actions, she does take responsibility for an especially unflattering moment in the show.
"I look back at the season, I think there's a lot of great times too but I would have to say game night is my biggest regret," said Kyle. While most would have guessed the infamous limo argument with her sister, she explains her cause for embarrassment during game night was that she did not "stay true" to herself in her actions.
"I just don't feel like I was being myself and I regret that," she explains. "I did not stay true to who I am and that's such an important lesson for me."
As the RHOBH experience can at times be a rocky, emotional rollercoaster, it has also proven itself to be a gateway for great opportunities. Last December, Kyle released Life Is Not a Reality Show: Keeping It Real with the Housewife Who Does It All, giving an inside look into her often glamorous life. Within its pages, she imparts family, beauty, and life advice for fans who want to know how the mother of four manages it all.
