'PLL' 'Knows' Too Much
By JAYMIE BAILEY

This episode of Pretty Little Liars showed me one thing -- Father/Daughter Dances are the most awkward events ever. Well, maybe only in Rosewood. One dad had a secret, one still doesn't trust his daughter, one had life-changing news and the other couldn't make it to the dance.
Emily was busy searching for Maya after the cops showed up to tell her that maybe her girlfriend had run away. Wayne Fields, Emily's dad, even joined in the hunt. Apparently, Maya went to the bus station with every intention of leaving for San Francisco, but someone in a dark car (Garrett?!) distracted her and she ended up leaving with the mysterious driver. Then, A bought a copy of the local newspaper, The Rosewood Observer, which revealed that Maya is missing! As if she didn't have enough to worry about already, Emily now has so much more on her plate -- her father is returning to Afghanistan, her girlfriend has gone missing and a text-messaging stalker is out to ruin her life.
Hanna tried her best to keep her mother out of her business, but that just made things worse. Because Hanna won't talk, Ashley Marin turned to Detective Wilden to get some answers! She turned in the police report from A and Wilden also tried to get Ashley to secure Hanna's cell phone, which ultimately ended up under water. Personally, I think the girls should have thrown their phones into the lake, the sink, the Rosewood High pool (any means to destroy them) a long time ago! Mona came up with a plan for Aria to lie to Ms. Marin to make her think she sent the texts, the police report etc. to frighten Hanna so she wouldn't shoplift anymore. However, the mothers are still determined to figure out who this A character really is. (Did Mona come up with this plan to get the mothers off the A trail or to actually help the girls?)
Lucy Hale: We're Gonna Blow Fans' Minds
Aria's dad still doesn't trust her and Mike proved to be a really good brother this episode. He questioned Byron about his opinion on Aria and Ezra's relationship and made his dad think twice about his reaction. At the close of the episode, Jonah gave Aria a call and told her that Vivian, Alison's friend, received texts from multiple numbers. One of these numbers came from a location in Brookhaven, and of course, the girls took a road trip. They stumbled upon some sort of doll shop and the dolls hanging in the store window looked creepily like the Chucky Dolls the girls received in a previous episode. Aria put on the red jacket Spencer got with the claim ticket and some mysteriously hot guy called her Vivian. Well, now we know why the executive producer, Marlene King, said the color red would be a huge key.
'PLL' Preview -- Is Melissa 'A'?
Spencer still doesn't know if she can trust her family. She rummaged through her father's desk and found a check stub for $15,000. (Detective Spencer is my favorite, next to Drunk Spencer, of course.) When questioned about the money, Mr. Hastings revealed he knew Melissa had been sending threatening texts to Alison, so he hired a private investigator to look into Alison's murder. (Now, Mr. Hastings, what's your explanation for all of those pictures of Alison on your desk?!) Melissa has also been suspicious lately -- Is she a member of the NAT Club? Did she hate Alison enough to kill her?
The liars are hot on the trail and next week's episode looks explosive! Tune in next Monday at 8 p.m. to watch the girls continue to put the pieces of A puzzle together.
