What's Next For 'Awake?'
Last night NBC debuted a daring new drama from Kyle Killen, the creator of Lone Star -- it once again dealt with man's duality, but unlike the Texas-set con-man drama, the lead on Awake doesn't have control over his split personalities.
However, much like the short-lived Lone Star, not enough of you tuned into the show (as evidenced by the very disappointing ratings) revolving around Michael Britten -- a homicide detective whose life gets split in two following a car accident. In one reality his son Rex survived the accident while wife Hannah did not. In the other, the opposite is true.
And while Michel does not have control over when he segues between "worlds" he retains the memories from each and according to this season one preview, we see that future episodes not only reveal times when the facts from the other side betray him, but it's apparently possible that this "curse" was intentionally inflicted upon him.
Watch the teaser above and a sneak peek below. Then, tune in next Thursday at 10 p.m. for the next chapter in Awake's tale.
