I had so many mixed feelings during this episode! Toby's back (yay!), but he's a "new" Toby (boo!). Jenna made me want to cry (what?!). Jason and Veronica Hastings finally had the guts to sit next to each other (aww!). Duncan Albert is a pilot (huh?). Jewelry box ballerinas and solemn music (creepy!). Alison was apparently in Rosewood HOURS before the girls even knew about it (OMG!). See what I went through this episode?
Eye of the Beholder focused more on Alison and clues rather than the girls' personal lives, and I loved that. I adore the liars, but we have two more episodes left in the season. We need as many clues as we can get!
Spencer's toughest issue this episode was Toby's return to Rosewood -- as a whole new Toby. He was a little more forceful and he seemed to really be looking out for Jenna. However, Toby's soft spot did resurface when he made sure that Spencer was okay after the fire. Yes, Jason DiLaurentis's house caught on fire and Jenna was inside! Hanna was retrieving the bag of Alison's things from Jason's back porch when she saw Jenna fall against the door and smoke coming from inside the house. Hanna saved Jenna and surprisingly, she was thankful. For a second, I even felt sorry for Jenna as she cried in the hospital bed. Supposedly, Jason sent her a text because he needed to speak with her, but Jason had no idea that Jenna was at his house. This had "A" written all over it. Speaking of A, the mastermind found Garrett's police badge near the DiLaurentis home. Was Garrett behind the fire?

Aria was playing detective as she got more information from Duncan Albert, the guy who mistakenly called her Vivian. Apparently, Duncan is a pilot and he flew Alison back from Hilton Head that infamous Labor Day weekend. After putting the pieces together, the girls realized that Alison was back in Rosewood hours before she got out of that cab. What was she doing back so early? Who was she meeting?
Meanwhile, Ezra had talks with both of Aria's parents. Ella discussed his relationship with her daughter and made it known that Aria is her main concern, while Ezra and Byron's conversation was probably one of the most intense I've ever heard. The most important thing -- Ezra is not taking the job in Louisiana.
Emily finally heard from Maya via text and email. She's okay, but still "missing." With the rush of intense information and clues provided, the email that Emily read from Maya lightened the mood. Maya repeated several times throughout the letter that Emily was capable of being "still," and that's how I felt during the scenes with Emily in the episode.
The girls are stumbling upon more clues and Alison is providing clues from beyond the grave next week! Tune in Monday at 8 p.m. to see the last episode where A's identity remains unknown!
