Season 11 (not saying one-one as much as Randy Jackson wants me to) officially kicked off last night with the boys performing Stevie Wonder songs and the girls "honoring" Whitney Houston. An odd choice since she's one of those singers the judges always slam the contestants for attempting on non-theme nights. But it's a little insane to expect consistency from American Idol, so let's press on.
