"Our first season was denial, our second season was anger -- this is the season that deals with bargaining," says star Laura Linney. "What do you do when you're granted a reprieve?"

For Cathy, that involves embracing the mantra of Joy Kleinman, a cancer survivor and life coach, played by Susan Sarandon. This new outlook "unearths in her a very dynamic life force," according to Laura.

The effects of this seasonal and emotional change can be felt elsewhere in the house, as Gabriel Basso adds, "They're becoming more of a family but at the same time they're becoming crazier." And as proof positive of that, Sean gets a job working as a janitor by day, phone sex operator at night.
