One of the most hotly anticipated pilots in contention for Fall 2012 is The CW's Arrow -- a one-hour drama based on DC Comic's Green Arrow character.

Although the green guy was memorably brought to life on Smallville by Justin Hartley over four seasons, the reboot has recast the role, serving up Stephen Amell (Hung, Vampire Diaries) as the titular crime fighter. And as you can see from this first look pic, Stephen fills out the suit (created by legendary costume designer Colleen Atwood) just as well. If not better. Sorry. Truth bombs dropping all over this joint!

Who Is Stephen Amell?

Anyone following Stephen on Twitter knows how excited he is about this gig -- and how hard he's been working up in Canada. "You know the giddy look of disbelief on a professional athletes face when they win a championship? I look like that all the time now," he recently wrote.

I 'Wonder' Who Wore It Better

The plot for this new Arrow is described thusly: After being marooned for five years on a remote island, former billionaire playboy Oliver Queen returns with a mysterious agenda and a lethal set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime.

Which Famous Faces Are Coming To TV?

David Nutter (Arrow pilot director/executive producer) said in a statement: "When I directed the pilot for Smallville, I knew that making Clark Kent relatable would be the key to audiences believing in him as a hero. Arrow is a different show — darker and harder-edged — but it's the same core idea. We're creating a real, believable world in which Oliver Queen can do incredible things."

So, what do you make of this new Arrow suit and star?
