Gigi Talks 'Jerseylicious' Breakup
March 30, 2012
Gigi's tumultuous relationship with Frankie has been one of the most compelling storylines throughout the last four seasons of Jerseylicious -- and for months they have tried to make it work (first with therapy, then by moving in together).
But in Sunday's all-new episode, Gigi finally hits her breaking point and TheInsider.com has an exclusive clip and interview that shed light on Gigi's choice to leave Frankie once and for all!
"I'm strong like bull but it's been a really big roller coaster this season," Gigi tells Insider.com. "We tried therapy and it didn't really work out as planned. Instead of bringing us closer together, it just drove us further apart. I was coming from a very real place. I don't like to always put my emotions out there, but it was so important that I find out where we stand and Frankie was very stand-offish about it."
Through therapy and watching the show, Gigi finally realized that it was time to move on. "It was a really toxic situation – it broke me down. I went through a hell. But if it can help even one person to watch what I went through, then it was worth it! I'd rather be this age than married and learn that Frankie wasn't the one later on. I'm happy that I was strong enough to stand up for myself and move on."
Gigi isn't closed off to the idea of dating on TV again -- but she's quick to add, "The next person I'm with is the guy I'm going to marry – I can't waste any more time!"
Jerseylicious airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Style and the big break-up episode airs April 8.
