Between Smash and My Week With Marilyn, the Hollywood bombshell is as omnipresent now as she was back in the 50s. And that trend looks to continue well into 2012 as a new reality show will aim to find the "Next Marilyn Monroe."

Marilyn Monroe's estate has teamed with a production company to bring you Finding Marilyn, a new competition series that will send 12 young girls on a similar journey to Marilyn's as they come to Los Angeles and compete for a chance to become the next Hollywood "It" girl.
Apparently everyone involved has forgotten how badly Marilyn's journey ended. I mean, what's the crowning moment in the finale: holding the winner down and forcing pills down her throat? What's crazy is this feeling that plenty of wannabe's would still sign up if that end-game was made clear from the jump.

This sorta insensitive series will most likely coincide with the 50th Anniversary of Marilyn's death, this August. Like I said, classy.
