Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower, Dancing with the Stars' youngest pair this season, created controversy last week when viewers and dancing pros alike felt the two were severely underscored for their Rumba.
Roshon admits that the surprisingly harsh scores, which have led to a lot of fan backlash, has had a big effect on him.
"Everything that we didn't want to happen happened," he tells The Insider. "It was pretty bad in the sense that we did have high expectations for some good points. ... We were like, 'This is it.' We heard the crowd, we felt it, and it was the total opposite. ... It was horrible."
Chelsie was a bit more giving towards the judges, but at the same time criticized them for not giving Roshon the proper credit.

"It's all good, you know? You just never really know what the judges are looking for, and maybe what they were looking for that night wasn't what we had to offer," she says. "... [but] OK, so there's always mistakes, there's always things to work on ... but point out what he did right. And I think that's what was my issue was -- that there were so many things he was doing right, but I didn't feel like he was getting credit for [it]."
But the partners are looking forward to proving the judges wrong in tonight's episode, where they will be dancing the Argentine Tango.

"It's my favorite," Chelsie says. "We can do, like, fun, cool lifts and its very passionate and emotional, and it's going well so far."
Check out the video to see how Roshon's body is holding up through the grueling season, and how Mark Ballas and Katherine Jenkins are as team captains. Dancing with the Stars airs tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC.
