There are some things you should never say while competing on a reality show for fear of angering the Gods and invoking their wrath. A lesson Kat learned the hard way on Survivor last night when she declared blindsides were hilarious ("Who doesn't love a blindside?!?") moments before the tribe spoke and ousted her shocked ass from the game.

When I caught up with Kat this morning she was singing a much different tune. "Let's set the record straight, blindsides are not funny," she exclaimed during our interview. "They are not good. My mother gave me a humble pie yesterday, I ate the entire thing. They are absolutely not funny. I was destroyed. You saw – everyone saw – I was a mess."

But what led to Kat's ousting? She believes it resulted directly from winning the reward challenge. "My million dollar mistake was picking Alicia [to join the family visit reward]. I should have never done that. I should have picked Chelsea [because] she was so sour about the decision, that the only thing they could say was I was selfish." And Kat has a word of warning to future competitors: "The family visit is death. I repeat, the family visit is death. You never want to be the chooser. That's the only challenge you shouldn't try to win."
