The long-running was awarded on Friday the International Television Audience Award for a Drama TV Series at the 52nd Monte Carlo Television Festival. The choice is based on statistics from Eurodata TV Worldwide revealing that CSI was watched by more than 63 million viewers worldwide last year.
In Season 12, multi-Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Ted Danson and Academy Award winner Elisabeth Shue joined the established cast of George Eads, Paul Guilfoyle, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Robert David Hall, David Berman, Wallace Langham and Elisabeth Harnois.
