For their final Comic-Con appearance, the cast of Fringe took to the Hall H stage for the first time ever as 6,500 fedora-topped (thanks for the swag, Fox!) fans gave Anna Torv, Josh Jackson, John Noble, Jasika Nicole, Lance Reddick and executive producer J.H. Wyman a fitting rock star-level welcome!

Once the screams subsided (which did take a second), fans were treated to shiver-inducing Observer-themed supertrailer and hints about the final season that prove Fringe has saved the best for last!

Most notably, the final season of Fringe will take place in 2036 and the premiere picks up the day after the events in Letters in Transit (the season four episode that revealed how The Observers have taken over after humanity "failed" -- at least in their minds). Of their new evil overlords, Josh says, "They're much, much worse than you think."

With the cast was on spoiler-lockdown, most of the panel was dedicated to the cast reminiscing and proving they're truly become a family. Not only did Jasika, Anna and Lance break down while talking about their favorite scenes, but John delivered this gem that perfectly encapsulates what has made this aggressively-inventive series so beloved: "I don't think you work with a group of people for five years without developing a strong relationship," John said. "The thing that holds Fringe together is the power of love."

Fringe premieres September 28 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
