It's that time of the year again to consume hours on end watching Shark Week observing the world's most terrifying and intriguing aquatic species in its natural habitat.
In honor of Shark Week's 25 years of fright and delight, the engineers behind the festivities created an aquatic version of the Volkswagen Beetle that also functions as a shark cage.

"All shark cages should move," said host Luke Tipple. "Why sit around and watch sharks and say, 'Swim by'? I want to follow them around--interact...What better way to do it then put a Beetle under water, interact with sharks, and maybe do something a little bit different as well."
Check out the innovative prototype in the clip above. Shark Week premieres Sunday (Aug. 12) at 9 p.m. on Discovery.
