As Kyle Massey campaigns to return to Dancing with the Stars by becoming a wildcard pick for the show's All-Stars season, he talked to The Insider about his hopeful second stint on the show, and clarified his current relationship with Bristol Palin.

On his first time around on Dancing, Massey was disappointed to finish in second place but relished the relationships that he formed on the show with the other cast members, especially Bristol Palin.

The two originally planned to form a reality show together, and although the plans fell through the cracks, Palin continued with her own reality show called Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp, which is allegedly based upon the same concept of her failed reality show with Massey.

The 20-year-old entertainer said that, despite reports suggesting otherwise, he isn't upset with Bristol for the failed reality show, and is on good terms with her and the rest of the Palin family.

"I haven't really spoken to Bristol lately, but [my family and I] still talk to the Palins," he said. "We don't have any problems with Bristol...My mom actually created the show, and the show actually got stolen from us, but [there are] no hard feelings. We just kind of never thought it was going to go this far."

As a wildcard pick for the upcoming series of Dancing, Massey will have to be voted in by the fans in order to make it onto the show. Having recently participated in the live show in Vegas, he admitted that he was a little upset that he wasn't a set pick.

"I was excited, but I was a little bummed, I'm not gonna lie," said Massey of finding out he was a wildcard. "I really wanted to be in the show. I really want to do it and compete. Hopefully, the fans vote me in. I'm rallying for votes right now."

Voting for the Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars wildcard pick closes August 24 at 12 p.m. PT, and the winner will be announced August 27. The season premieres on September 24 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
