Last week, TheInsider.com took you behind the scenes of Husbands' second episode, and today we're going to take you behind the ... panels?

Yes, that's right, Cheeks and Brady are about to get a whole lot more colorful (if that's possible) when Jane Espenson & Brad Bell's Husbands becomes a stunning Dark Horse comic book, as you can see in TheInsider.com's exclusive sneak peek above!

"Our show is set in a marriage-equalized world, so it's already got a hint of an alternate-universe thing going on," Jane tells TheInsider.com. "But the comic books are going to totally dive into a whole [alternate-universe] premise. So we're going from genre-curious to full-on genre!"

"When we started out, we sort of thought these would be fun little tongue-in-cheek send-ups of comics," Brad says, adding, "but then we realized that with the iconic worlds we were drawing from, and with the dazzling artwork that we are seeing from the artists, that these stories have... I guess the word is integrity -- that they stand on their own as genuinely kick-ass comics."

The six episode series (digitally available for $.99 starting October 24, 2012) kicks off when Cheeks and Brady receive a mysterious wedding present that launches them into a series of thematic -- bordering on comic-book cliche -- adventures that help them realize, resolve, and adjust to everyday obstacles in their very recent married life! And you can see the beginning of their trip down the rabbit hole in TheInsider.com's first look (with cover inset) above!
