As the new season approaches, EW.com reports that the show has offered Iglesias the position, which could mean that there would be four judges on the panel instead of the usual three.

Earlier the news source reported that Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban could also take up seats next to Mariah Carey, the only confirmed judge for next season.

This isn't the first offer that Iglesias has fielded to do a reality show. The Latin singer was also approached to be apart of The X Factor and The Voice, both of which he turned down.

Iglesias has reportedly been offered $4 million for the Idol job.
