Executive Producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe certainly threw things into a tizzy on last night's So You Think You Can Dance, when he shockingly announced in the show's final minutes that he would not be voting for the dancer he had been championing all season, untrained animator Cyrus Spencer, but instead would be voting for more reserved ballet dancer Chehon Wespi-Tschopp. As someone who has watched every episode, interviewed the cast weekly and grown accustomed to Nigel's unflinching love of Cyrus -- I, myself, was shocked at his out-of-left-field outburst. Last week, Nigel even whispered in my ear that he was rooting for Cyrus! But it turns out, I wasn't the only one who had some thoughts on Nigel's last-minute change of heart. TheInsider.com caught up with the Top 4, Cyrus, Chehon, Tiffany Maher and Eliana Girard, guest judge Rob Marshall, season two runner-up and choreographer Travis Wall, judge Mary Murphy -- and Nigel himself to talk about the performance finale and the Brit's surprising admission.

Nigel explained a little bit more about his pro-Chehon reasoning, "I had to say what was in my heart at that point. It all becomes very emotional ... If I am voting now, not just saving but voting, I'm voting for my favorite 'dancer' and Chehon for me tonight was my favorite 'dancer.' Cyrus was my favorite person. I have never seen someone battle through something as much as Cyrus has battled through. And I love him for that. But my vote is going for Chehon."

The overly excitable Mary Murphy even struggled with Nigel's words. "That was a little bit hard for me honestly, but I understand what he was trying to say but it probably didn't come out the best by saying -- I. Will. Not. Vote. For. You," Murphy said.

Cyrus even tried to make the best of the slight, trying to keep positive: "I understand why because he is looking at it from a dancer's perspective. And although I'm an inspiration to so many people ... he is looking at it from his favorite dancer. His favorite dancer is Chehon but something like that you can't be mad at because it's an opinion. But he said I'm his favorite person. It's something you can be mad at." Despite staying optimistic, Cyrus did admit Nigel's comments stung upon hearing them, "It was like wow, ouch!"
