On this day in 1993, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air paid a visit to Hugh Hefner at the Playboy Mansion for one of the show's episodes. As Hefner puts it, the shoot at the Mansion came about in a complex symbolic way.

REWIND: Why Will Smith Joined 'Fresh Prince'

"We didn't actually approach her (Karyn Parsons, "Hillary Banks"). The whole thing worked the other way around," Hefner says in the featured video flashback. "They were building a show around the notion of her posing (for Playboy)...It was life imitating art, imitating life."

In his blasé style, Hefner breezes through the interview with mostly concise sentences, which holds true when he is asked why he thinks that shows approach him with offers to shoot at the Playboy Mansion.
