The Walking Dead is welcoming two iconic comic book characters this season, and TheInsider.com has an exclusive photo of David Morrissey as The Governor.

"The Governor is really a character I enjoy telling stories with," creator Robert Kirkman told me at Comic Con. "It's great to be in the writer's room and work on new stories for the guy. That drives me to look at everything I did with him in the comic and find new ways of doing those stories and also [do] different things with him. It's cool to be able to look at that story from a different angle and add to it and accentuate it."

Star Andrew Lincoln is equally excited by the character's arrival because, "The Governor is a mirror that you can hold up to Rick and I love the idea of Woodbury being this civilization that is a bit advanced from our group, and it could be a place they morph into if circumstances were different."
