Kristin Davis has become infinitely linked with her Sex and the City character of "Charlotte," to the point that you may have forgotten her early TV endeavors prior to Sex and the City.
For this Pop Culture Rewind, we take you back to this day in 1995 when Davis was being interviewed at the party for the 100th episode of Melrose Place, which she had just joined at the end of its third season.

"I think the secret to the success [of the show] is that people get to live vicariously their wildest, wackiest impulses that they would never act on in life," the then-30-year-old actress says.
Standing by the pool, Davis also talks about her role on Melrose as the mischievous, ill-hearted "Brooke Armstrong."
"Sometimes I get to be really mean and I enjoy that a lot," she says in the featured video flashback. "I hadn't played a lot of mean characters, so that was fun and kind of surprising."

Davis, who began her television acting career on the soap opera General Hospital, also divulges that her favorite scenes from the show have been sex scenes and that she looks forward to a desk-clearing love scene with her character's love interest.
"I want to go for a man's desk. I think Billy and Brooke should have sex on Amanda's desk," she says. "It has been done, but not by us. So, we should do it."
Unfortunately, her character didn't have too much time for more passionate love scenes, as her character was killed in the middle of Melrose's fourth season.
