"It's kind of weird seeing her in a coffin. It wasn't very nice," said Melanie. "But then she said, 'Don't worry, honey. I'm never going to be in a coffin. I want to be cremated.'"

Tippi's character, Nana, is dead in the episode, and Melanie -- playing Nana's daughter Tamara -- cheerfully attends the funeral.

"It was so cool to have them both on the show," said Shannon Woodward, who gushed over the mother-daughter duo, calling them "incredibly talented."

Season 3 of Raising Hope premieres tomorrow, October 2 at 8/7c on FOX.
