'Secret Life of the American Teenager' to End

ABC Family's drama The Secret Life of the American Teenager is nearing the end of its run.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the veteran TV show will go off the air after the current fifth season.
The show, starring Shailene Woodley (The Descendants), followed pregnant teenage mothers and how their families dealt with their predicament. The program validated the network in the scripted arena, and hits like Pretty Little Liars soon followed.
THR reports that when the show ends, it will have aired more than 120 episodes. The final 12 episodes are set to begin airing in March.
