Despite their status as self proclaimed rednecks, it appears the fun-loving cast of characters on the TLC breakout hit Here Comes Honey Boo Boo have a bit of a sore spot for jabs aimed at their pleasantly plump exteriors.

South Park in particular lampooned the entire Thompson family and their weight in an episode that aired earlier this month—and Mama June tells us she did not take kindly to what she felt was "crazy," mean-spirited ridicule.

"There is a lot of obesity in the world and I think that, for one, you know, people shouldn't be made fun of," she says. "Yeah, I'm big, but it's not just me who is big."

In case you missed it, the episode entitled A Hog With Pizzazz, featured Mama June at a pig farm, selecting a pig for Honey Boo Boo's heart transplant, which she needed after eating too much "sketti and butter."

Criticism aside, Mama June says she embraces the recent whirlwind of fame.

"This may end in six months, it may end in two years…we've enjoyed the ride," she tells us, adding that though her own future in the spotlight is questionable, her daughter will remain a pop culture staple for a long, long time.

"I dont think Alana is going anywhere any time soon."
