Tom Hanks Angers Matt Damon On 'Colbert Report'
October 26, 2012
Tom Hanks showed up on the Colbert Report Thursday night to help kids and parents come up with easy costumes to make for a "spooktacular Halloween" -- that was until he angered his Saving Private Ryan co-star Matt Damon.
The bit between Hanks, 56, and host Stephen Colbert had kids coming up to the door wearing costumes that greatly resembled some of Hanks' most famous movie roles. From Woody in Toy Story to Chuck Noland in Castaway, Colbert started to see the costume trend with the actor who referred to himself as a "living legend."
That's when an angry Damon, 42, showed up at the door in a soldier costume. "You asked me to come down here! You said it was for charity!" Damon yelled. "I got better things to do, you know! I could be drunk right now in a movie theater, heckling Argo!"
