Vinny Guadagnino is joining the talk-show circuit.
The Jersey Shore star, 25, has landed his own program on MTV called The Show With Vinny. While the usual talk show format is set in a studio (with the exception of Oprah's Next Chapter), Vinny will invite his celebrity guests to his family's Staten Island home for an Italian meal and colorful conversation.
"Vinny's unique mix of humor, intelligence, curiosity and heart make him the perfect choice for this genre busting take on the interview format," Chris Linn, MTV executive vice president of programming and head of production, told TheInsider.com in a statement. "As the lives of the Jersey Shore cast evolve, we are excited to explore new ground while still delivering the laughs and surprises that fans have come to expect from the franchise."
This will be the third show a Shore cast-mate has attempted on MTV. Snooki & JWoww returns for its second season on Jan. 8, while Vinny's best friend in the house, DJ Pauly D, also had a spin-off show that aired over the summer. The final season of the Jersey Shore is currently airing on MTV, and is the highest-rated series ever for the network.
