Glenn Close will be honored this year at the Palm Springs Film Fest, joining A-listers including Leonardo DiCaprio, Colin Firth and Natalie Portman who've made an appearance in past years.

Meanwhile, the Coachella Music and Arts Festival broke records in 2010 with 75,000 people in attendance. Headliners of the event have included Jay-Z, Coldplay, Kanye West, Radiohead and Paul McCartney.

For country music fans, the Stagecoach Festival is a major draw – Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert will perform at the next yearly outing.
